Spicy spaghetti

Meal ideas can be really tricky sometimes; often you’re too tired to even think what you want to eat, but you know you need food. This spicy spaghetti dish is here to help in those situations. Cook the spaghetti, fry some garlic and red chilli, add green olives and capers, a splash of passata, if you have it, and there it is, dinner, lunch or just a meal when you need something quick. Flavours such as garlic and chilli speak for themselves, coupled with tasty olives and capers you will never again be without a hot, healthy meal again.

Equipment

  • 1 Medium saucepan

Materials

  • 1 small red chilli Deseeded & finely chopped. Avoid rubbing your eyes afterwards.
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 50 g Green pitted olives
  • 50 g Capers
  • 300 kg Spaghetti It will work with any pasta shape.
  • 1 tbsp Rapeseed oil Olive oil is a good alternative.

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti as per the instructions on the packet.
  • Once cooked, place the spaghetti in a bowl and heat a tablespoon of oil, add the garlic and chilli plus the capers and olives. Stir and leave for 5 minutes to allow everything to heat through.
  • Now return the spaghetti to the pan, combine and serve with some grated parmesan.
