Careers & lifestyles have changed beyond recognition in the past 10 years: bloggers, You Tubers, influencers, social media experts, jobs that didn’t even exist when I stepped into the world of work over 25 years ago. And yet, here we are, sitting at our judgemental tables thinking that those who choose a career in blogging, You Tubing etc, have taken the easy route – wrong! I am here to prove that all this online malarkey is hard work, and if you choose to read my blog every week, you are coming on the ride with me.
For years, I have dabbled and messed with free blogs, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, observing the masses that seem to do it so well and make it look so easy. Why is it that those that do something well make it look like a walk in the park? I have loved it. I have hated it. I have shared content, and then I haven’t. Erratic, inconsistent, vague would certainly be words to sum up how I have behaved online.
Starting today – Monday 6th September – I am going to document my online journey every step of the way. Without barely typing a word, you can see that I am baring all, no fancy website (yet), no amazing photography(yet), no menus (yet), nothing, just this blog post. But if you remain my loyal friend, then I promise you, I will fill you in with all that I learn, good and bad, highs and lows, so that by the time I am posting in one years time, I will know so much more and my site will look so much better.
