Easter Cupcake Crowns
Elevate my Easter cupcakes with the addition of a chocolate nest. Great to make with young children in preparation for Easter.
Yield: 12 cakes
Equipment
- 1 cupcake tin
- 12 cupcake cases
- 1 Large metal spoon
Materials
- 200 g milk/dark or white chocolate
- 150 g mini-shredded wheats/cornflakes/rice krispies
- 1 tbsp syrup optional
- chocolate mini eggs to put in the crown.
Instructions
- Follow my recipe for Easter cupcakes then simply make the nests/crowns as below -
- Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a heat proof bowl.
- Sit the bowl on top of a pan a gently simmering water making sure that the bowl does not touch the water.
- Stir frequently until the chocolate has melted.
- In a large bowl place the cereal and add the melted chocolate.
- Stir until the cereal is completely coated in chocolate.
- Put the cereal mix into cupcake cases and make a small indentation for the egg.
- Add the eggs and put the tray in the fridge to chill for around an hour.
- Now place on top of your Easter cupcake to make a show stopping Easter crown cupcake.
