Muesli bars
By using my homemade muesli you can quickly and easily transform it into very tasty cereal bars.
Yield: 16 bars
Equipment
- 1 Mixing bowl
- 1 traybake tin
- 1 Small saucepan
- 1 spoon
- greaseproof paper
Materials
- 130 g my homemade muesli
- 80 g unsalted butter
- 50 g soft brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp syrup or honey
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees fan & 190 non-fan
- Line the traybake tin with greaseproof paper
- Place the syrup, sugar and butter into a saucepan and gently melt on the hob.
- Place the muesli into the mixing bowl and add the sugar mix. Combine thoroughly.
- Spoon the mixture into the lined tin, pressing down with the back of a metal spoon to make everything compact.
- Place in the oven for between 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and whilst it is still hot cut into slices. Leave to cool then break into individual bars.
- Enjoy with a hot drink.
