Muesli bars

By using my homemade muesli you can quickly and easily transform it into very tasty cereal bars.

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 traybake tin
  • 1 Small saucepan
  • 1 spoon
  • greaseproof paper

Materials

  • 130 g my homemade muesli
  • 80 g unsalted butter
  • 50 g soft brown sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp syrup or honey

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees fan & 190 non-fan
  • Line the traybake tin with greaseproof paper
  • Place the syrup, sugar and butter into a saucepan and gently melt on the hob.
  • Place the muesli into the mixing bowl and add the sugar mix. Combine thoroughly.
  • Spoon the mixture into the lined tin, pressing down with the back of a metal spoon to make everything compact.
  • Place in the oven for between 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and whilst it is still hot cut into slices. Leave to cool then break into individual bars.
  • Enjoy with a hot drink.
